Homemade Lemon Bread

I tested this recipe and did not regret it is moist and soft, but it is full of the fresh flavor that lemon fans crave... so prepare for an incredible flow of freshness.

Ingredients:

Icing:

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 cup sugar

Cake:

1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup vegetable fat

1 cup of sugar

2 eggs

lemon zest

1/2 cup milk

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 ° F.

In a bowl, mix the flour/ baking powder & salt. Reserve these dry ingredients.

In another bowl, cream the fat. Gradually add the sugar and beat after each addition of sugar.

Add the eggs to the fat-sugar mixture. Beat well.

Add the lemon zest. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk.

Pour it in a greased butter template.

Bake at 350 ° F for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out dry.

Meanwhile, combine the lemon juice and sugar. Spread on the bread as soon as it comes out of the oven.

Let cool for 10 minutes before unmolding on a mesh.
