Easy Caramel Apples

Do you love caramel apples but hate trying to eat them?

Try it this way! Hollow out your apples, (you can balance the apple halves in a muffin pan) fill will melt caramel, let the caramel harden, and cut into slices!

6 apples

1 1/3 cup of sugar

1/2 cup of water

255g of 35% cream

Clean your apples, insert a wooden stick in each one (see the video), and put them in the refrigerator for at least an hour (or in the freezer for ten minutes).

Prepare the caramel: melt the sugar, salt, and water in a saucepan of about 2.5 liters, mixing gently with a fork at the very beginning to dissolve the sugar and salt.

Once the sugar has dissolved, simmer Without touching over medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes or until the syrup is the color of golden blond honey.

Add the cream (be careful, it will bubble - see video - and mix constantly but gently with a heat-resistant spatula or wooden spoon), until the temperature of the caramel rises to 250F (121C).

This should take around 7-8 minutes.

As soon as the temperature is reached, remove from heat, transfer to a heat-resistant bowl and let cool for a few minutes, until the caramel is at 212F (100C).

At this stage, you can dip your apples, successively, in the caramel and place them, as you go, on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper or baking paper.

Garnish as you wish if you feel like it: nuts, sprinkles, candies, etc. And Enjoy...!
